It is clear here through the baby name analysis done by the Social Security Administration(SSA) of the US, that moms prefer naming their male babies after the sick pack abs werewolf Jacob rather than the sparkling blood sucking vampire Edward. For the second straight year in a row, Team Jacob still reigned over Team Edward in the Top Baby Names
Aside from the The top 10 baby names, SSA also came out with a report on baby names that are growing fast in popularity, and names that are losing their influence. Intersting names that are surging the popularity list are: Knox, name of one of Brangelina's kids; Tiana, name of the princess in Princess and the Frog; and Kellan, a name from a character in Twilight.
Intersting Fact: For the first time since 1954, Elvis is nowhere to be found in the Top 1,000. (NewsFeed notes, however, that thousands of children not named Elvis are living easier lives, being able to introduce themselves to people without suffering through an annoying pop-culture reference.)
